The English crew overcame Slovakia in their first elimination duel, but this wasn’t a smooth ride… After conceding a goal in the 25th minute, England somehow found a way to score an equalizer in the final moments of the regular period. Then, in the extra time, England scored their second goal which was enough to beat Slovakia.
But Switzerland presented a dominant performance against Italy in the ⅛ final. Namely, the Swiss squad won the game with a final score of 2:0, showcasing their excellent shape in Germany.
